    Limestone County Master Gardeners will host a Saturday Workshop on October 12, 2024 at 10 am at the Limestone County Extension Office, 1109 W. Market St., Athens.

    “Backyard Wildlife” will be presented by MG Melissa Kirkindall.

    Your backyard can become a wildlife refuge. Learn about shelter requirements, food and water needs for wildlife in your area.

    All workshops are free and open to the public.

    Limestone County Master Gardeners will host a Saturday Workshop on September 21, 2024 at 10 am at the Limestone County Extension Office, 1109 W. Market St., Athens.

    “Bring Birds Into Your Garden” will be presented by Herb Lewis.

    Learn the benefits of gardening for birds. Some of the techniques for developing a backyard wildlife habitat to attract a wide variety of birds are included along with personal photographs of the birds in the garden environment.

    “Preserving the Harvest” will be presented by AMG Barbara McFarlen. We grew it, we ate it, and we gave it away, and still have lots of garden veggies. So let’s can and
    freeze the squash, tomatoes, corn, beans, strawberries, and peaches. Our tools are hot water bath, pressure canner, and freezer.

    All workshops are free and open to the public.
